Communities Helping Communities

One Meal at a Time

V-Aid is a community humanitarian charity bringing people together to produce nutritious, long-life emergency meals and practical support for charities helping people facing crisis across South Wales. Through volunteering, we strengthen communities, create opportunity and demonstrate that communities really can help communities.

Our Mission

V-Aid is more than just a charity. We are a lifeline.

V-Aid is a Swansea-based humanitarian charity built on two simple principles:

  • Supporting Communities – Providing practical humanitarian support to people facing crisis through trusted partner organisations. Whether it’s emergency meals, clothing, toiletries, dignity packs, veterans’ support or other essential items, our aim is to ensure help reaches those who need it most.
  • Creating Opportunity – Bringing together veterans, displaced people seeking safety, people rebuilding their lives after involvement with the criminal justice system and community volunteers to learn new skills, build confidence, develop purpose and make a meaningful difference within their communities.

Together, these two principles are delivered through our flagship programme, Food & Futures, and our wider humanitarian projects. By supporting communities and creating opportunity, we demonstrate that communities really can help communities.

Our Humanitarian Programmes

Our work is delivered through Food & Futures—V-Aid’s integrated family of humanitarian programmes that respond to a wide range of community needs while sharing one common purpose.

Every programme has two equally important objectives: to provide practical humanitarian support to people facing crisis, and to create meaningful opportunities for others to contribute through service. By bringing people together from different backgrounds to work alongside one another, we help deliver life-changing support while building confidence, practical skills, purpose and hope in those who make that support possible.

Each programme focuses on a different area of need—from emergency meals and essential supplies to training, rehabilitation and community partnerships—but together they form one connected humanitarian model that strengthens communities and changes lives.
