What are Emergency Response Meals?
Emergency Response Meals (ErM) are nutritious, long-life dehydrated meals produced by V-Aid volunteers to provide practical food support for people experiencing crisis.
Every meal is lightweight, easy to transport, has a long shelf life and can be prepared with only hot water, making it suitable for charities responding to homelessness, financial hardship, temporary accommodation, emergency situations and other humanitarian needs across South Wales.

How It Works
Every Emergency Response Meal is produced during supervised volunteer sessions using carefully selected dehydrated ingredients.
Volunteers prepare, blend, package and label the meals in a safe food production environment before they are distributed through our network of partner organisations.
Because the meals are dehydrated, they are lightweight, cost-effective to transport and can be stored for extended periods, allowing charities to keep emergency food available whenever it is needed.
The Meals We Produce
Our Emergency Response Meal range has been developed in response to feedback from the charities we support. Every recipe is designed to be nutritious, practical and easy to prepare while remaining affordable to produce.
We currently produce a growing range of breakfasts, soups and complete meals, with additional recipes continually being developed to meet changing community needs.
