Vulnerable Family Response (VfR)
Vulnerable Family Response (VfR) is V-Aid’s practical support programme for families experiencing hardship or unexpected crisis. Working with trusted partner organisations, we provide emergency food, essential household items and compassionate support to help families through difficult times with dignity and respect.
Working Together to Support Families
We work in partnership with a wide range of organisations that support people facing hardship. These include food banks, charities, probation services, women’s refuges, domestic abuse organisations, refugee and asylum support groups, community organisations, housing providers and other trusted local partners. By working together, we can identify families in need quickly and ensure support reaches those who need it most.
Practical Help, Real Impact
Every family’s situation is different, which is why every support box is tailored wherever possible. Depending on need, boxes may include emergency food, breakfast items, baby products, toiletries, household essentials, clothing and other practical items to help families through difficult times. Sometimes it’s the smallest things that make the biggest difference.
Delivered Through Trusted Partners
V-Aid does not simply hand out support boxes on the street. Instead, we work through our network of trusted partner organisations, who already know the families they support. This ensures help reaches the right people with dignity, respect and in a way that meets their individual circumstances.
Stronger Families. Stronger Communities.
When families receive the right support at the right time, the benefits reach far beyond a single household. Children have a better start, parents feel less isolated, and communities become stronger. Together with our volunteers, supporters and partner organisations, we’re helping build safer, healthier and more resilient communities across South Wales.
