The charity V-Aid is going to empower veterans with a three-stage programme offering accredited disaster relief skills, including training in 'Food Hygiene', 'Evacuation', 'Fire Safety' etc., and practical aspects such as setting up a team at an outdoor camp and travelling to an extreme disaster zone (Ukraine) for immediate employment or volunteer roles. This will help tackle redundancies, particularly in the steel industry, by providing veterans with valuable skills for emergency food aid in the UK, Europe, Ukraine and elsewhere.
