Our Projects

V-Aid- Ukraine

V-Aid-Ukraine is a humanitarian collaboration between the charity organisation V-Aid and Myrnenebo Kharkiv, providing rapid emergency food aid where it is needed most, in Ukraine and around the world. We utilise the expertise of veterans who understand first-hand the severity of the crisis. Our responders are able to provide the necessary assistance, set up a mobile kitchen and feed those in need within 24 hours in Europe and 48 hours around the world. In addition to immediate assistance, V-Aid-Ukraine offers veterans long-term support, helping them find a sense of purpose through employment opportunities.

Food Aid for veterans

V-i-C (Veterans in Crisis)

V-Aid will soon launch its Veterans in Crisis (ViC) campaign, which will distribute emergency food aid for 3 days across the UK to support veterans facing significant hardship. Food assistance will be provided within one to two days after the application. This campaign will help veterans who have difficulty obtaining food assistance due to bureaucratic problems and need help right here, right now.

Overseas Responders Programme (ORP)

The charity V-Aid is going to empower veterans with a three-stage programme offering accredited disaster relief skills, including training in 'Food Hygiene', 'Evacuation', 'Fire Safety' etc., and practical aspects such as setting up a team at an outdoor camp and travelling to an extreme disaster zone (Ukraine) for immediate employment or volunteer roles. This will help tackle redundancies, particularly in the steel industry, by providing veterans with valuable skills for emergency food aid in the UK, Europe, Ukraine and elsewhere.
